SWAG Comes to WHS

Friday, May 5, 2017 - 09:46

Woodbury High School is launching a new club called SWAG (Student Wellness Action Group) next week with a fun and healthy line-up of activities. This group was created because we know that healthy students do better academically and personally. Our simple mission is to promote school wellness by connecting students to health and wellness information and resources. We will work to establish an environment that empowers students to embrace daily healthy choices that lead to future personal success not only in the classroom but in the community too. The three priority areas for May include:  promoting healthy food options; maintaining a clean school environment, and supporting ways to help manage school stress. SWAG is led by staff advisor and health education teacher Gary Diamond, and is supported by a grant from the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership, Minnesota Department of Health.
