All School Information

  • Homecoming week is coming and nominations by the senior class for homecoming royalty have taken place.   Now is the time for everyone to vote. The top 2 will be crowned Homecoming Royalty at the kickoff event on Friday.  Voting is online at woodbury.voting4schools.com, but you should really vote at lunch in the cafeteria since you can win fabulous prizes just for casting your vote!  Voting is open to all grades and will close on Thursday at 3:30pm.

  • Are you interested in traveling the world with friends? You have a unique opportunity to join Woodbury Adventure through Travel’s summer trips to Italy in 2019 or to exotic mystery countries in 2020. Be there for the Big Reveal at our meeting in the lecture hall on Thursday, September 20 at 6:30pm. Future travelers need references and should rsvp to Ms. Forshier in room 266.
  • You should always fasten your seatbelts while in the car, but especially today. Officer Noren will be out in the parking lot making sure that all drivers and passengers are buckled up.  
 

Club Information

  • If you are interested in joining the yearbook club, stop in the media center and pick up an application. Applications are due September 21, 2018.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Peters.
  • Royal Connections is kicking off its first event of the year with a pizza game on September 21 at 3:15 in Ms. Mexiner's room 112. It will be a pizza game night, so students feel free to bring fun board games! All students are welcome and make sure to bring any friends who may be interested in joining the club.
  • Come make a difference and make your mark in the world. Do you want to be part of the movement? Join Social Justice Club for the info meeting on Tuesday, Sept 18 after school at 3:15 in Ms. Krenz’s room, #222. There will be snacks provided!
  • Are you interested in joining a club that helps introduce NEW students to Woodbury High School? Join the Royal Ambassadors!! We give new students tours of the school, bring them to classes, eat lunch with them, give them school gear and more. Become a part of Royal Ambassadors, meet new people, make new friends, and make a difference!!  Come to our Informational Meeting, Wednesday Sept 26 before school at 8:00 am. See Ms. Dease if you can’t make it.
  • The membership meeting for new and returning NAHS members will be this Friday, September 21 @ 8:00 am in room 245. Students in grades 10-12 that love art should attend. See Ms. McIntyre with questions.
  • The GSA Club begins this week. GSA is Gender Sexualities Alliance and is open to LGBT students and allies.  The meeting will be in room 262 at 3:15 and snacks will be served. Come join the fun! If you have questions please see Mr. Young or Ms. Dornfeld in the Counseling Office.
  • French Club will be having their first meeting this Thursday morning, September 20, at 8:00 A.M. in Room 269, the French room. We will do nominations for officers and start planning this year's activities. Everyone is welcome!
  • Attention WHS students!! Are you thinking about a career in business?  Like to compete against other schools? Looking for “real world” experience to help you after high school?  Then you should think about joining Business Professionals of America (BPA).  We will hold our first informational meeting this Thursday (9/21) after school (3:10)  in room 107.  If you are interested please attend the meeting or come see Mr. Waugh in room 107.
  • A calling to all students passionate about culture!  Chinese Club will be having it’s 1st meeting this Wednesday, September 19 @ 3:15 in Chinese Room 212.  Join Chinese Club for deeper understanding of China. We engage in both traditional and non-traditional activities: cooking, ping pong, karaoke, and more!
  • Thanks to all students who came out to Learn & Share about our Mock Trial Team this 2018-19 season. Anyone having additional questions about joining the Team can contact any former Team Member or Gwender Sterling, Coach at 612/239-0818 or gsterlin1@sowashco.org.
  • Attention all Trekkies! Starting next Wednesday, September 19, Star Trek Club will begin meeting in Mr. Welsh's room, number 270. Meetings will be held every Wednesday after school until 4:30. Stop by every Wednesday to watch and discuss all of the new Star Trek series for free! Snacks will be provided. Live long and prosper.
