2018 SWAG Wellness Challenge

What is the Challenge?

The Student Wellness Action Group (SWAG) is offering a free Wellness Challenge opportunity for ALL students, faculty, and staff. It encourages healthier living through physical activity, nutrition, mental, relationships, and overall wellness categories. This four-week program is designed with incentives to develop a commitment to healthy lifestyle choices. The 2018 Wellness Challenge is from Monday, April 16 through Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

How do I participate?

  1. Register the week of April 16-20, 2018 to participate individually or designate to be part of a group of 2-4 people. Students should select a captain/leader of each group.
  2. To register, go to our classroom.google.com and select the plus(+) sign in the upper left hand of the page and select join class.
  3. Enter Class code: 49dq03
  4. Once registered click on the underlined Wellness Challenge 2018.
  5. Begin filling out the different categories of the Wellness Challenge.
  6. Participates should completely fill out the activities they did for the past 7 days  - that’s it.  
  7.  Make sure you enter the "One time points," which can be added onto your weekly total at any time–but only once.

Where do I send my 2018 Woodbury High School Wellness Challenge point log when I am ready?

  1. There are two ways you can get your Wellness Challenge point logs counted:
    1. Simply use and submit the on-line classroom.google.com site (directions are listed above)
    2. Download or pick up a hard copy of the Wellness Challenge point log in the cafeteria and then turn it in on Wednesday.
  2. All Wellness Challenge logs must be turned in on Wednesday’s, hard copies must be turned into a  SWAG member who are located in the cafeteria during all lunches. You can also e-mail your filled out form to gdiamond@sowashco.org
  3. Point totals will be tracked and weekly winners will be award.
  4. Simply print out the Wellness Challenge point log each time or pick up additional copies in the cafeteria during the first week. NOTE: Forms will be available in the cafeteria throughout the week. 
  5. Participates should completely fill out the activities they did for the past 7 days--that’s it.    

How can I win prizes?

INDIVIDUALS

One individual winner with the highest point total at the end of the week will be awarded a weekly prize. Also, one grand prize winner will be chosen based on the individual who earned the most points throughout the entire competition.

TEAMS

The team's AVERAGE score is what counts! The team with the highest average point total at the end of the week will be awarded a weekly prize. Also the team with the highest overall average point total throughout the entire competition will be the grand prize winner.

  • To establish an environment that empowers students to embrace daily healthy choices that lead to future personal success, not only in the classroom but in our community as well.
