About Us

Woodbury High School (WHS) is a diverse and inclusive community where students are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to school. With nearly half of the student body being students of color and over 40 home languages spoken, WHS promotes learning from each other’s experiences and values strong relationships.

The school offers a variety of clubs, sports, and activities, including the Black Student Union, Mock Trial, and Gay Straight Alliance, which allow students to explore their interests and build connections. WHS also has a robust student council, which coordinates events like blood drives and spirit weeks, amplifying student voices in shaping school culture.

WHS places a strong emphasis on academic excellence, with numerous opportunities for students to engage in rigorous coursework, including Advanced Placement (AP) and College in Schools (CIS) programs. The school was recognized on the 2024 AP School Honor Roll for providing equal opportunities in AP courses to all students, including underrepresented populations.

Additionally, WHS supports academic success through initiatives such as AVID, academic interventions, and programs like the Royals Owning Academic Responsibility (ROAR) that provide tutoring and executive functioning lessons. The school also fosters leadership and community involvement through its Link Crew program, where upperclassmen mentor incoming students, and its Air Force JROTC program, which builds character and civic awareness.
