Counseling

All School Information 

  • The deadline for registering for this years PSAT test is Wednesday, September 18. The PSAT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying Test. This standardized test provides practice for the SAT and also gives Grade 11 students a chance to enter the National Merit scholarship program. The test will be given at WHS on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 8:30 am to noon. This optional test is a rigorous national assessment for Grade 11 students and is used to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Programs. Sophomores may take it only as a practice test. Register by logging onto FeePay. The cost is 23 dollars. Families that qualify for free or reduced lunch may be eligible for a fee reduction through FeePay. More information on the test may be found on the College Board website. 
  • Come out and enjoy Royal/Raptor night tonight as the Boys and Girls soccer teams host East Ridge. Games start at 5pm for the boys and 7pm for the girls.
  • Let’s cover the stands in Pink!!! Woodbury Volleyball is running our first annual Dig Pink night on 10/8 vs. Park!! This is a breast cancer research fundraiser through the sideout foundation: side-out.org As part of this event, we are selling Dig Pink shirts for $15 through this online store:orderteamgear.com/team-stores/woodbury-dig-pink.  All proceeds will be going to this foundation!!  The online store will end on 9/22 so please get your orders in ASAP. Shirts will arrive on 10/4 and be distributed by the girls volleyball team on 10/7. Information on this is also posted on our volleyball homepage: whsactivities.org/volleyball.

Club Information

  • The GSA Club begins Wednesday, September 18! GSA is Gender Sexualities Alliance and is open to LGBTQ students and allies.  This meeting will be every Wednesday in room 262 from 3:15 to 4:15 and snacks will be served. Come join the fun! If you have questions please see a co-advisor, counselor Mrs. Dornfeld or Mr. Young. 
  • Are you interested in engineering? Then the Robotics Team would like to invite you and your parents to come to our informational meeting on Tuesday, September 24th from 7-8pm  in the Lecture Hall. Our Fall Season is about to begin.   • The Ignite 2019 Kickoff is coming soon! Ignite is a student-led Christian group that strives to work together to grow in faith, charity, and community. Join us for the Kickoff on Thursday, September 19th at 7:30 am in the Media Center. Many youth pastors from the area will join us, and we will have donuts for breakfast! Hope to see you there!
  • The Mental Health Club will meet this Wednesday, Sept 18th right after school in room 268. All students are welcome to attend. If you have any questions please see Ms. Babcock.
  • Chinese club starts this Wednesday!  Everyone is welcome to come and do fun Chinese activities!  Meetings are held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month in room 212! 
  • Please join us for the Red Cross Club information meeting on Thursday, September 19, at 7:50 am in room 135. All are welcome!
