About Spanish Immersion

About Spanish ImmersionWoodbury High School is home to the district's high school Spanish Immersion program. Students in the middle school Spanish Immersion pathway are automatically enrolled in the high school pathway. Non-immersion students who are fluent in Spanish may enter the pathway at any time. However, these students must take a fluency and proficiency test for placement recommendations.

The High School immersion pathway includes two classes in Spanish that follow the same State standards and graduation requirements for all High School District 833 students. All other high school coursework will be taught in English. Spanish Immersion students have the same graduation requirements as all other District 833 students. Seniors will have a capstone course in Spanish.

Transportation for K-12 Spanish Immersion students is currently provided through 8th grade.
