Mandatory Commencement Practice (Thurs., June 3 @ 9:00 a.m.)

- All seniors participating in the Commencement Ceremony must report to the Activities Center for practice.
- Graduation practice is mandatory!
- Be on time.
- Practice takes approximately 1-1/2 hours.
- You will receive your tickets for graduation at graduation practice
Cap & Gown Distribution (Thurs., June 3)

- During school hours
- Graduation Fee: $30
- Honors Sash Fee (if applicable): $25.00 -- refundable if sash is returned by Friday, June 12.
- NOTE: Seniors must return all books & pay all fines prior to receiving their caps and gowns!
The district pays for caps and gowns. Seniors pay $30.00 towards graduation for Aldrich Arena's rental fee, flowers, programs, medals, etc.
PAY FEE ONLINE: The graduation fee can be paid online using SmartSchoolK!2 through Monday, May 31, 2021 or the fee is due when you pick-up your cap and gown. Contact Ms. Burch (651.425.4409) with questions. The graduation cap & gown are yours to keep.
Honor Sashes: Honor sashes will be provided for all honor students with a deposit of $25.00 due on cap & gown distribution day. Sashes must be returned to the Principal's Office by Friday, June 11, in order to have your deposit returned. Remember, the cap & gown is yours to keep!
Graduation vs. Commencement
Graduation refers to the term in which you have officially and successfully completed all of your graduation requirements.
Commencement is the ceremony of granting diplomas at the end of the academic year.
Graduation Recognition
Graduation recognition is based on students' GPA after Trimester 2 of senior year. Students are recognized by colored sashes and identified by asterisks in the program.
- Summa Cum Laude with Distinction: GPA of 4.3 and above, gold sash, honors medallion, denoted by 4 asterisks in program
- Summa Cum Laude: GPA of 4.0-4.299, gold sash, denoted by 3 asterisks (***) in program
- Magna Cum Laude: GPA of 3.667-3.999, silver sash, denoted by 2 asterisks in program
- Cum Laude: GPA of 3.5-3.666, white sash, denoted by 1 asterisk in program
- NHS Members: gold tassel
Graduation Speakers: A student who has achieved Summa Cum Laude with Distinction and two additional student speakers, who are elected by the senior class, will speak during Commencement.
